Southeast Colorado
How is that skip row corn looking? I'm almost ashamed to tell you how good ours is. Just got 3/4" yesterday and another 1/2" this evening. Dryland corn is a couple feet shorter than the irrigated but is really even and pollinating right now. Ears look good. A long ways to go yet but I'm thinking 50 minimum at the moment with a lot more in play......we shall see. The skipped row definitely got us through a tough 3 week 100 degree + spell that got over a week ago. The plants rolled a little during the heat of the day but always looked good in the morning and in the evening.
