NE IA | Thanks for asking the question. I've been approached twice now from the same outfit. I know the majority of my neighbors are signed up but I'm still on the fence. It seems it has taken me forever to get this farm to the point now where it produces an excellent crop. Drainage and avoiding compaction are key. With setbacks I figure all I will get is underground wiring trenched through and/or a road across mine to the neighbor. Neither of those pay great and like already said I'm signed up to their lease for 25-35 yrs. for $5 bucks an acre. | |
