| The first thing to do is have an attorney look at the lease. I can't imagine signing one of these things without asking about the downside. The next thing to do is find someone who has signed with Invenergy. Make sure and take the residence and outbuildings off the contract. If you have livestock and would like to expand you should not sign that building site up either. The company would not allow you to build a house on land that has been signed up for wind production. What they tell you is meaningless once they walk out the door. It's what in the contract that will decide how they treat you and your property over the next generation. Good luck. You're going to need it. | |
