central ohio
My corn is looking pretty rough. We are in a small band that has missed a lot of the rains. May totals were 1.8 to 2 inches. June totals were 1.7 to 1.9 inches. July was 1.1 to 1.7 inches. Biggest rain in July was only .8 and that was only on one farm. Next highest was .4. Most of the rain has come in .1 to .3 increments. Sun and wind bake it all out by the next day. Have done some preliminary yield checks. Worst field is 115 best is 150. Best field would probably be at least 15 bu. worse but is about 20% creek bottom ground. Unfortunately that is the only creek bottom ground I have. APH is 182.

Beans are showing a lot of stress the last two days. Slight chance of rain today, but I won't hold my breath. No chance for like a week after today. No disease pressure or bugs. Lots of pods they just need some water to fill out.
