Subject: questions for guys with wind turbine leases

east central iowa
I know it's been discussed on here before but would really like to hear from people that actually have them on their land and if they would do it again. Invenergy is proposing a wind Mill farm and is in the process of securing the land. I have met with the guy 3 times and have not signed yet it seems most in the area signed up no questions asked. They are paying 9800 a year with 2 percent increase a year. 1 dollar a foot for the road. The problem I have is once you sign you have no say where they will go or where the roads will be or how many they would install. My thoughts it wouldn't be worth it if they only put one up. Would like opinions from people that have experience with them on their land and if you would do it again or things to watch. My home farm is very hilly I am guessing they won't put them in rows but would follow the top of the hill. Do any of you have them in hilly ground I would be curious how they placed them. I have put a proposal In where I would have final say in where they place them in the sight distance of the house as my wife says no way will she look at one out her back window no matter the money. Otherwise I can exclude parcels but trying to give myself some final say later on. Thanks in advance
