Let us know how it turns out at harvest, actual VS estimate. Please, not numbers, but the difference, as I think that it will help all of us as we try to get a handle on doing estimates for our selves. Seems like mine are always high, so this year, I am using a higher of kernels per bushel.


I think the hard part is getting a representative sample.

I have been doing some checks for years, now I wish I had been logging the data so I could compare actual to estimate year in and year out. I think we could get within 10~% or so with enough data.

If I remember last year my checks were on par with the high end and above the field averages by 20-30bpa. My counts this year are much higher than last year.
