North Central Illinois | Seeing it here too fellas. I can't say that it is widespread but there is plenty of it around. Variety specific and Mother's Day weekend beans that struggled to come out of the ground are getting hit hard. You are exactly right though. The under the canopy down at the ground has not dried out truly for about six weeks. Not a real shocker that we are seeing disease. There is some leaf disease in the corn too. 90% or ours was sprayed with fungicide and so far is clean. Have talked with two agronomists this week and both say that leaf diseases are starting to hit hard in untreated corn. GLS and NCLB are the main culprits. I have heard of some Goss' wilt west of here but fungicide won't do any good with that anyway. Had a surprise 2" of rain last night. The corn is set moisture wise. | |
