Subject: RE: IMPACT verus Callisto

N.W. Illinois
Our farm has had very good performance with Callisto, no experience with Impact. Callisto has very good broadleaf residual, the best I've ever seen. Syngenta's pre mix, Halex GT, is tough to beat for us. It has Touchdown(glyphosate), Callisto, and Duel and then we add a 1/2-1 pt of atrazine. Spraying this at v5+. Always add .5-1 pt atrazine, it enhances the Callisto. We have also used Callisto Xtra. It is a pre of just Callisto and atrazine and we would add the glyphosate. With the rapid spread of waterhemp in many of our neighbors fields we are going to all Halex GT to have one more residual mode of action from Dual to help keep out the waterhemp.
One other new tank mix to maybe look at is Dow's Resicore. It has acetochlor, Callisto, and Stinger. Dow recommends adding glyphosate and atrazine to the mix as well. I've heard excellent reviews on it. I don't know the cost p/ac. Edit to add I'm not sure if Dow has this labeled as a post product yet.
