Kind of my thoughts. Last year it hailed the day before we wanted to start combining beans. Caused some stalk issues for the corn as well.
I've seen 200 bu mowed down to nothing by softball sized hail a month before harvest. Some how I don't feel sorry for guys who brag their chickens before they roost and come up short............
