34000*17(ave 0f 16 & 18) * 37 / 90000 = 237, BUT, from the looks of the kernels, if it were mine, I would divide by 100000, so 213. That being said, around 34000, Do we really know? Have seen some planted at 34000 with only 28000 harvestable ears, were these random ears, or the two that stuck out because of size? Way to many unknowns the say 270 or 170.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but a realist. Would like OP to post what the true yield is after harvest. This would help all of us to get a more realistic handle on things for the future. So, Op, please let us know the final yield, and, if you would, was it better or worse then you expected?
Again, I agree, not a disaster, but to many variables to call it a monster crop, which it has more of a chance being.
