I agree with the consensus on the page that it burns more quickly on a hot, humid day.

I disagree with the assumption that this is the best time to apply. I have seen many acres sprayed and found the best timing to be late in the day, even at dark, to be the best for control of tough weeds.

This chemistry is activated very quickly when exposed to UV light(sunlight), which is good, but it can be activated before it is completely absorbed.

That is why if you apply in the evening or right at/after dark, it will be completely absorbed into plant before it is activated. Then when the sun comes up the next day it will burn much more completely.

There is a risk of volatilization so the best weather is a consistent wind so you know where the drift is going and manage it, a very calm evening would lead to a higher risk of an inversion where the volatilization will be held at a level in the air and drift(sometimes miles)
