Kingston,Mi | I believe it is the slow release of the copper that provides the control, moss on roofs can be controlled with bare copper wire across the upper slope. I was at a farm where the owner had placed copper water pipe in the tile when the highway was rebuilt and his old tile line needed to be replaced. This was so long ago that the replacement tile was vitrified clay in 2 ft. lengths. He bought enough 1/2 or 3/4 inch hard copper pipe plus fittings and soldered it together and inserted into the tile as they laid the pieces. Thirty years later, tile main working as planned, Soft Maples close or over it as it passed thru the yard and a happy, satisfied Bavarian. | |
