Schools out, hire a kid or two. Give them the 450-500 bucs you would otherwise have mowed off. Make them pull every weed, ($500 for a couples hours of work should perk them up) then you can spend your time changing diapers and you won't look like you've got a mental disease. At the very least you could have mowed and baled it, so the beans didn't go to waste.
I know this hard for people to understand, especially younger people, but its a lot nicer at 5 am then it is a 9am. Nothing drive me nuts more than people who waste the morning in the house then complain about the heat.
I hired a kid to do odds and ends stuff including some hoeing. It was a joke. I even went back through and showed him all the weeds he missed and helped him hoe what he missed. I thought hoeing was hoeing, but apparently it is not. Granted, it is probably the wrong kid, but he interviewed well and I couldn't tell he was going to be dumb as a lead balloon. |
