In the future you might want to try hand spraying the thick spots with 24d early when the beans are small. If you kill a few beans with "friendly fire" the others will stool out and compensate for a plant or two gone. It is amazing how much ground you can cover as opposed to hand pulling and you don't have to worry if you got the root.
