We did consider it, but we don't have trucks and neither do the people that combined it for us. Also heard from a friend that there were no rollermills available to rent anywhere because everyone is doing it right now. Last year our corn was combined with a JD 9610 and the rollermill was running all the time, it was the biggest we could rent. I doubt it would be able to keep up with the 9760.

Capacity is the biggest issue. We started as soon as the field was dry enough to drive on and it rained right after we were done so we need that capacity. This system is really simple for us and if it was a lot more cost effective for the custom operator they would use a rollermill instead. This didn't cost us any more than your way would if we also have to rent 2 or 3 trucks.
