central ohio..between Springville and Millbrook. | yes we got .3 this morning too. it burned off quicker than a heavy dew though. I don't think anything short of a 3 day steady rain will help in Shreve now. have you seen my ground over on alysworth/Brown rd?? I top dressed that with urea/ AMS the day before an 80% chance of rain but got none for 19 more days . depressing .
the field in the pic isn't mine....just where we were working when I was reading the original post so I snapped a pic. the guy took off 1st cutting Alfalfa and no tilled into it. as far as I know he never even side dressed it because it was a lost cause. no till into Alfalfa usually works really well for him, but not this year. the Alfalfa crop had used up the early season moisture aND the ground was already dry at planting time.
