For me if it is under $4/bu, or just close, it's not worth planting. Last fall there were some decent contract prices. Not so much right now. I do see a yield bump in corn following wheat.

I do like harvest in summer. Makes for a little extra time in the fall and generally there is good weather and no mud.

I do not like Vomitoxin and falling numbers.

I have tried the local elevators wheat management program and it has never paid for itself. Not even the chemicals. I just plant, one app of fertilizer in the spring. One app of herbicide.
