Subject: Corn is a C4 warm season grass

NW Iowa
My boat was just shot out of the water. Made a mistake and got called out on it. Thought corn was a cool season grass.

So C4 grasses grow best at 90 to 95 degrees. Hum so why is it grown corn up north. Should be grown in south and Texas where they have that heat. Also thought once it got over 80 it wasn't helping the corn any, but that can't be right either.

My thoughts have been 80 high for the day and 60 at night was about perfect but maybe my thinking is wrong.

C3 grasses 65 to 75 optimal temps.

I'm going to call corn a C3.5. There that was a easy fix.
