If the water is a ways down, but you have 3 phase a turbine with an electric motor might be your choice depending on how much electricity runs in your area. If water is a long ways down and you just have single phase electric you will probably want a turbine driven by a power unit.
100-200 acres of rice will take a lot of water. We have a 160 acre spot that we use a large power unit driven turbine and 2 smaller submersibles that are on single phase electric to keep it watered. Maintaining a flood isn't hard if the ground will hold water, we do that with the 2 smaller pumps. But getting the flood on in the first place can take a long time or be impossible if you don't have a big enough pump. | |
