I agree on the corn being a marathon runner, it likes 80's and cool nights. That is the biggest thing that will hurt your guys yields is if it doesnt cool off at night. Corn has to be able to rest. Now a few days will not hurt you but if you are pollinating you could potentially get a few unfertilized kernels if pollination is smack dab in the middle of the heat spell.
