Central Michigan | Recommendations are going to be different in every area you go to. Also, the efficacy of fungicides will differ in each growing region. In Michigan, we started spraying almost 2 weeks ago. We average our first spray always sometime in the first week or so of July. We have been dry this year, so it pushed things back. I am almost positive that we will be a 3 spray minimum here, and the worst areas may end up with as many as 6 sprays. We had some burn down last year that was estimated to have cost millions to the Co-Op, so we are trying to be as proactive as possible this year.
I would refer to your local guidelines from university or extension. | |
