nc ks | I would never go knocking on doors, that is a recipe for disaster and I have a lower opinion of those who do that. However, I am not in the camp with those that feel their rented ground is their property and feel like they have a right to farm it as long as they please. I feel that if I am not able to adjust my operation so that my landlords receive the highest stable returns out there, I am not doing my job correctly. I try to look at what I can do to make it hard for a landlord to ever look at renting to someone else instead of worrying about what someone esle is doing. Being pro-active in a rental agreement is priceless in my opinion. If someone has a 5 year lease and stands to make extra money the last 3 years of it because times have changed, and don't do anything to make it more fair, I don't think the landowner has an obligation to even consider them for a new lease.
