SE Nebraska | Always been a lot of corn and beans in my area. When times were great my dad said "farmers are their own worst enemy." Many pastures, tree lines, grass hay fields, and other places were torn up. Road ditch to road ditch people wanted those extra rows of corn. I would say that genetics are the biggest reason of corn getting pushed into the fringe areas. | |
