As much as I hate to see tough times especially since I'm pretty young with a young family and a rather large farm payment, I would like to weed out the guys running up cash rent and land prices so it can return to a more normal price.
As I tell my Son ,if things really crash it hurts everyone ,equity drops or goes negative,negative incomes.....you either won't have money too or want land when that is going on and it will still seem too high.........maybe being a BTO and happy with breaking even or small profit but today renting ground is pretty much just turning dollars as all the profit is bid out........and some/many will be big rents too say they farm xxx acres ,some pretty big egos around now that have to be fed,alsways was there but now they actually tell you how much better,smarter,ect. they are than everybody else..........for young guys/girls it will be farm after work and use job too feed the family,not nice but reality |
