250 x $3.80 ( Jan 17 price) = $950 acre- $100 Fert- $30 SEED- $35 chem and insecticide- $20 fungicide- $100 mach- $400 rent= $265 acre
You left out power, water, and irrigation operation expense, and have low basis fertilizer numbers, and likely application rates which won't support continuous 7 ton yields. $100 for all machinery is a little light since most of it gets eaten just harvesting and hauling 250 bushels. But I guess if you and the help can live on $20 or less per acre and never have to dry anything it can work.
Also send me the phone number of the seed rep that has seed that cheap that will regularly hit 250.
