As much as I hate to see tough times especially since I'm pretty young with a young family and a rather large farm payment, I would like to weed out the guys running up cash rent and land prices so it can return to a more normal price.
i only see rent and land prices getting higher and higher as large farms keep expanding. once again it's something that shuts out the small farms. i've heard prices are dropping in some areas but here it's still going up and investors are loving it. i see so many people demanding $350 for rent which according to my numbers is about $100 more then i could pay just breaking even on it. i know some only a few hours from me are paying up to $450 and i've heard of some even higher. again i don't see how large farms can survive operating like this when i can hardly get by just doing the bare minimum
