Got this email from local Extension office. Numbers are still below threshold for spraying. Hope they stay low. We have confirmed Sugar Cane Aphids in the area. They have been confirmed by a K-State Entomologist east of Oxford. I have also have reports of them in the SE part of Sumner County and East of Wellington. So scout your sorghum fields early and often. Please check out this link for the report of the confirmed Sugar Cane Aphids by Oxford. http://blogs.k-state.edu/kansasbugs/2016/07/19/first-report-of-sugarcane-aphid-in-kansas-sorghum-for-2016/ Haven't found any in my fields yet. |
