Subject: Grasshoppers in soybeans

SC WI
I don't have any pictures of the damage but along the edges and sections (10 acres of the 30 approximately), where the previous tenant last year couldn't get in to plant and the grasses & waterhemp grew uncontrolled, every leaf of every plant is showing sign of grasshopper damage, my thoughts are now that I have someone come in and spray it with Lorsban while they are still in the nymph stage and before they have a chance to do anymore damage, to what is already some what of a weaker later planted stand of beans. This is my first year farming and my first year on this ground that has quite a few issues, that ideally I would have handled differently but I wasn't going to turn down 36 acres no matter how late it was offered to me.
