Subject: Looking at irrigation well for growing rice. Help me out here

Columbus, TX
I recently leased some ground that used to have an irrigation well on it years ago. All the ground used to be farmed in rice, which is very common around here. All that's left is the hole that was drilled which is 400' deep. Was having a talk with my landowner yesterday and he has always wanted to get another well going on his place. It was his grandpa's ground when it was farmed, since then his grandpa and his father have passed away. All that's there is the drilled hole and a 12" casing. The well would be needed to farm about 100-200 acres each year. Where do I start with this? I know nothing about irrigation wells, how big of motor I'll need or anything like that. I just know there is a 400' hole that's 12" around. What's needed to make this farm work? Sorry, but I am just clueless on this stuff.
