Friend of mine remodeled an old farmhouse,really did it right. New windows, blown in insulation in the walls and cieling,new furnace.
Still had the cold floors though. He had a company blow foam insulation on the walls of the crawl space. Made a HUGE difference.
No more cold floors, made a big difference in heating bill.
As far as I know he didn't have any insulation directly under the floors.
