Before you go to deep did you check the oil cooler, If it has one

Well, I had the head off in about 3 hours so im a little too deep to do anything different now, hehe.

Im pretty sure the oil cooler is okay. Its loosing gallons of water, but only ounces are showing up in the oil. This leads me to believe that the head is leaking water into the combustion chambers especially since one of the replies mentioned heat cracked heads will burn water in a 466 engine. Well, this head was heat cracked pretty heavily. Just fine hairline cracks, but I guess it is enough. Ive also heard that oil cooler leaks will cause the oil to get into the water and not the water into the oil. The oil pressure is almost pegged out on the gauge which is usually around 40-80 psi? Water pressure usually isn't much higher than 15-30 pounds depending on radiator cap.

So it should be reasonable to assume that water shouldn't be getting into the oil through the cooler.
