Clark SD | Had a small field that was planted to corn last year that was cut for silage lst fall. We left some rows for the crop insurance appraisal. We planted rye for a cover crop last fall, but it looked so good this spring we decided to harvest it for grain. The strip that was left for the appraisal didn't get planted to rye, so it was some what devoid of residue cover. The rye was sprayed on 5/6 with 2,4-d amine along with the bare ground. The first two pictures shows what looked like on 6/6 and the 2nd set of pictures what it looked like on 7/12
