Subject: RE: Water in oil on 466 john deere

The headgasket looked clean and no signs of leakage for gas, water, or oil. I do honestly think it was the head. The head was just laying around, but it wasnt that cheap after getting it remanned.

I know about the flex, so I tried my best to keep it off terraces and bottoming out the axle stops. Ive seen a few tractors with failures due to the design.

I doubt I can get the shop to do anything. They said they couldn't gaurantee it wouldn't crack more later on, so thats really my fault.

Looks like another 2000$ to spend! However, there is still one more head laying around on an engine that I could use without any machining just to get back up an running again....hehe.
