Subject: walking fields after pollination

Most corn finished pollinating about 2 weeks ago. Have been walking fields the last couple days and haven't been overly impressed by what I've seen. Most everything pollinated very good ears are just smaller than I'd like to see. They are shorter and a lot of 14-16 rounds where we normally have 16-18 rounds. This is I'm western KY so as far as the market is concerned we don't really matter here. Corn looks excellent from the road, and will still be a good crop just won't be setting any records. Just curious what others are finding.
