If you ask a dozen guys about fertigating during tassel, you'll get at least 6 different answers. A lot of people say "just don't risk anything during pollination." Some don't even irrigate then.

And then you'll hear from the guy who runs 160 gph 32% during pollination and does just fine.

If I need to run nitrogen during tassel, I'll do it slow, maybe 25-35 gph. That's in a system running 800 gpm of water, so the fertilizer is pretty dilute.

I've never had a problem with it. But I've also run 30lb/hr copper sulfate into at pivot at tassel, which should have killed the corn. Didn't see any issues on the yield monitor. So I might not be a great example.
