What's the truth.... I've heard spring applied ( dry fert) is available to plants after few inches of rain, but I've also heard that these nutrients applied this spring will be used mostly by NEXT years crop?

Bottom line- is fall applied P and K preferred over spring applied.

These questions all based on conventional tillage. Thanks.


I think your better off doing any p&k in the fall. I have a farm deficient in k, but wasn't able to get any potash out till this spring. Put out 200 lb/ acre but idk if il see any results this year. But I had to start somewhere.
