Inwood Iowa | I have tried live traps, poison, radios, dogs...... Non of it was effective. We started using sprinklers on our sweet corn on a dry year and we discovered the wherever the sprinklers covered the corn we had no deer, skunk, possum, cat or raccoon damage. Now we set up our sprinklers when our sweet corn is small (it is a lot cooler and less itchy that when the corn is tall). We do about 2 acres this way and it works great. We use rainbird sprinklers mounted on top of steel fence posts all connected with inexpensive sprinkler pipe that we bought in 250' rolls. We lay the pipe on top of the ground and put a "T" about every 50' with a 6' piece of pipe coming up with a sprinkler on top.
