swohio | If it was me, I would plant cover crop 1st and then apply manure. It needs to be dry, no different than other crops. I planted cereal rye and annual rye right after beans last fall and the neighbor came right in with sow manure. Have no idea how much he put on, some almost like water, some much more juiced. Did this right after planting. Instead of injecting, had him spread on top. Ground was very dry. Was hoping manure wouldn't kill stuff coming up and it didn't. Great stand. Very happy how this went. Last year was 1st time to try this this way, going to hopefully do same thing again this fall. | |
