USA | Looking at this from the other side. What should a landlord do about a tenant who doesn't show, that landlord loyality? Tenant pays $100 per acre to rent ground from a landlord that lives half way across the country. Pays $300 rent for similar ground to another land owner, doesn't offer the $100 landlord any more rent, because tenant figures they aren't likely to find out what the going rental rate is anyway. $100 landlord is contacted by another farmer and offered $300 rent. Should the current tenant be given an aoppurtunity to raise his bid on the $100 rent ground when somebody else offers more?
