It's your daughters wedding. My feeling there are that while Momma wants to make it her idea of a great wedding, the actual responsibility and control of it will rest on the shoulders of your daughter. It's time for Momma to make suggestions and then back off. Of course, she is going to be heavily involved but there is no reason for either side to put a hardship on the other side just because of what someone's perception of what should be done is different than others think. Communication is the key. When I see the amounts that some people spend on a marriage, I am astounded. But, then, I am perfectly content with my own $25 dollar wedding 46 years ago.
