NE Kansas | Here's mine that were planted the 2nd week of June. A bunch of different varieties in a small area. My kids and some other kiddo's in the area like to come pic them. I think they have just as much fun playing hide and seek in the tall rye. I always sow some rye in the fall and roll it down toward the end of May to help keep the weeds down. They had mosaic virus of some kind 2 years ago and it looks like they may have it again. I keep them sprayed for cucumber beetles and that's about it. I try to plant varieties that are resistant to powdery mildew.
