King City, Mo | We put out a small patch this year and it was right when the dry spell started in June. After things slowed down in the field and it still hadn't rained we tried watering them to get them up with an old shuttle that I had rinsed out.
Well some came up then and some later when it rained. They are really growing now and so is the twh around them.
How late is too late for pumpkins that came up June 15-22 or so?
We have a mix of various packets and Varities of mini, average, large, and various types of white as well as we didn't know what would work best so figured we'd try different types and pray 1 would hit.
Talked to a friend who's dad typically does a small patch and it was a complete flop for him. Didn't know if it was a here thing or if anyone else had trouble.
We wanted some for the boys and for them to take to farmers market.
