Depends on what crop and what stage and what sprinklers you have. I am assuming drops and rotators. . If it is a high use crop in peak season I think I would put on 1/2 inch every two days, maybe take a day off and go again.

Don't think the sand is holding what you are putting on.

Peak use here is 1/4 inch/day on our highest use crop (alfalfa). Whether you take a day off or not would depend on crop stage and weather.
