A while back I made some post and asked some question on N sources as well. IMO what N source(s) you use depends on your local N market, your time, and your equipment available.
On my larger fields I've gone to a 2 shot approach of pre plant and late season topdress N. 2 forms.
on my smaller, more logistically challenged fields, I've gone to a multi form pre plant N, and have considered adding a 3rd type. This year I got the airplane to still apply a small amount of N to those fields too tho. So we will see how cute stage was on them this fall... |
