I hate to say it but be careful of new hybrids that yield alot. may puke the next year.
That is true but it's had a couple good years in a row now. Thats not to say it can't fall on it's face though. 785 asgrow back when they sold corn was one that was very good multiple years in a row and then we had a really wet year and any of the areas with water stress most of them had no ear. Luckily it was split boxed with something else that yielded fine. The strangest thing was it was a nice big healthy plant but had no ears in any of the really low water stressed ground. Could have maybe seen it if it had been stunted really bad. |
