Central Illinois | The Paraquat did an excellent job when properly applied. Set the cruise @ 5.5 mph so I could concentrate on keeping the booms @ the proper height. Figured that was 26 acres an hour in an Air conditioned cab with a stereo instead of walking. The varieties of beans that I had planted seemed to be very forgiving of being slightly wiped with the Paraquat. My biggest mistake was speeding up in areas that I did not think needed wiped and allowed a few escapes. Had only mounted 40 ft of wipers on the 60 ft. boom. That was plenty to be adjusting all the time. Have not found any thing even close to being this economical. Had less than $7.00 per acre including the wipers and herbicide. | |
