You are correct. Look at the way it kills, the plant curls up, technically the cells on one side of the plant are growing super fast and out grow the cells on the other side of the plant.

To the original poster, we used to use Buterac or some called it 2-4d db. 2 to 4 ounces was common with Basagram and Blazer depending on how strong you were mixing the B&B. We only used 2 ounces and it would curl a few leaves but never killed anything. Sometimes it helped weed control sometimes not. Never figured it hurt or helped the yields past the benefit of weed control.
