| We've got half a dozen farms we've taken out of crp over the past 10 years. "Here" what works best is a fall mowing followed by fall spraying and no-tilling beans the next spring. We've tried tillage and all the root mass turns into a giant sponge and you end up with a big mud hole. After the sod has been killed a year or two tillage works better, have a farm that we didn't get fall sprayed when it came out and we spent two years trying to get the sod killed, last year after the corn was combined we disk ripped it and this year it has a beautiful and clean stand of beans. | |
