Seven Springs sez...

"Magnesium Sulfate Epsom Salt - Mg 9.8%, S 12.9%.
Can be used for a foliar application.
Can be applied at 100 lbs per acre - - but should be side dressed.
( Be cautious when addressing magnesium levels.)
The reason not to broadcast is, due to the solubility, this product will leach off if not applied close to the plant where they can utilize it."

So flying on 5 # is a drop in the bucket.... Corn may need twice that much, each week....
___________

Also, MgSO4 is NOT the right formula... Try MgSO4-7H2O. It IS a dry powder, but contains 1/2 water, which dilutes the Mg content from 19%, to 9.8%..... So my original figures were OFF... 1 # of actual Mg (from Epsom Salt) would run $4.
