I farm one farm that isn't as sloping as the one in gtfincs photos. It has no terraces or waterways. Even though I no till it and try to plant the draws to a cover when a portion is going to lay idle between crops I still end up having to fill ditches. As previously mentioned the intensity of some rains coupled with the amount of water that is concentrated in certain areas is just too much. If I owned this farm the first thing I would do is put in waterways and terraces. Another thread has a poster stating that many here are anti no till. I don't think so but I'm getting the impression from some on this thread that no till and covers will negate terraces and waterways. Not where I live.
So let's keep stirring the gooo pot!!
